Comment: Allocation of SCH to departments militates against team teaching which is a wonderful opportunity for the exchange of ideas and for our students.
Comment: Need course releases to develop new kinds of courses.
Comment: Institutes (ICS in particular) are great locations for interdisciplinary education
Comment: Collaboration takes time.
Comment: We need to heal the divisions between departments and institutes.
Comment: Institute research faculty should be allowed to do more teaching
Comment: We need to consider the role of centers in interdisciplinary work.
Comment: We need to look at certificates in interdisciplinary education.
Comment: There needs to be funding to support grass roots interdisciplinary education initiatives
Comment: The process for getting innovative degrees through faculty curriculum committees is too cumbersome.
Comment: Solve the problems for interdisciplinary PhDs; we need a template for interdisciplinary PhDs.
