Comment:  This is a timely conversation

Comment:  transparency is appreciated

 

Q:  What does success look like?

  1.  The provost has indicated that the conversation itself is worth doing, but the hope is to be able to arrive at a consensus about some planning priorities for our academic future.

Comment: Yes, there is value in the process to enable employee engagement

Comment:  We need to consider the skill sets needed for our students as they prepare for future careers:  communication; critical thinking; problem solving; willing to take risks; statistics and data science

Comment:  We should discuss student debt.

Comment:  Staff could help set up practicum courses for students

Comment:  Increase communication between faculty and staff.

Comment:  The next generation of teachers need to be interdisciplinary; and they need to inculcate soft skills along with technical ones.

Comment:  The passion of the faculty can be transformative.

Comment:  Go big!
