Comment:Ìý Moving forward, we need to change the promotion and tenure process.Ìý We need think about what scholarship and teaching will look like in 10 years.Ìý We should look at impact, innovation, and the transformation of society.

Q:Ìý How are the Regents involved in AF?

  1. ÌýThey are not directly involved as this is a campus conversation.Ìý We always make sure our processes and policies are aligned with Regent laws, rules, and policies.

Comment:Ìý We need to make sure AF addresses broader publics.

Comment:Ìý Make sure that learning and discovery serve students so that they have careers.

Q.Ìý Are we looking at other institutions that are transforming education such as ASU?

ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý A.Ìý We will be looking at peer institutions as we try to figure out the projects that AF wants to set for the campus.

Q.Ìý What is the function of white papers?

ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý A.Ìý They provide individuals or groups to provide fuller, more detailed accounts of themes or issues they wish AF to tackle.Ìý They will inform the work of the AF committee and may spark focused, facilitated conversations.

  • How are we going to get the vision statement down to 4-5 areas?
  • What about changes in promotion and tenure?
  • How will the Regents have an impact on all of this?
  • How are we reaching out to Colorado citizens (voters)?
  • ASU transformed their campus in interesting ways. We should look at what they've done.
